1956 Mr. Tadashi Akiyama Started Production and Sales when Engineering Prototype business was awarded by Sony in Tokyo.
   
1960's
   
1960 Reorganized as Akiyama Works.
1963 Metal Stamping Mass Production started in New Factory in Tokyo.
1965 An Award was presented by Sony for contribution to video equipment operations for broadcasting stations.
1968 An Award was presented by Sony for mass production of taperecorders.
   
1970's
   
1973 New Plant was constructed for tool making and increasing capacity for Progressive Stamping.Assembly lines were added.
1975 An Award was presented by Sony for contribution of mass production for cassette tape recorders.
1976 Approved as Authorized Company by Sony.
1977 An Award presented by Sony for contribution of mass production for Pressman.
1978 A Recognition presented by Sony for creating cost table for stamping parts with Sony.
1979 An Award presented for Development of Walkman and 24/7 Mass Production.

1980's
   
1980 Increased production capacity for Progressive Stamping line.
1981 Installation of Sales Accounting System.
1982 Mass Production of Speaker Frame started with Installation of Transfer Machine Line and Supply to Dainichi Onkyou Started.
1983 Automated Assembly launched to assemble Motor Chassis for Sony Walkman (WM-20)'s motor.
1984 An Award presented for mass production (300,000units/month) of components with Special Alley for Sony Walkman.(WM-20)
1985 Self Quality Control Status Approved by Sony.
1986 Mass Production Started with Special metals such as High Performance Sheet Spring, Electro Magnetic Sheet Metals for Electronics Industry.(Terminals and Transformers)
1987 An Award presented as Outstanding Company by Kanagawa Tax Authority.
1988 An Award presented for Mass Production upscale for fastener dispenser by Sony Boson.
1989 An Award presented for Mass Production Upscale of Discman by Sony.

1990's
   
1990 Discontinued washing process to utilize Ozone destroying materials by Environmentally Friendly vanishing lubricant.
1991 Fully Automated 24 hours caulking line launched.
1994
  • Preparation for Overseas Operation started.
  • Development and Mass Production of Tool for door and center core for 3.5 Floppy Disc Drive started.
  • For tools to be made in and outside of Japan, Akiyama Engineering Corp was established as High Tech R&D. It concentrates in Technologies such as in-tool tapping and caulking, drawn post, no burr stamping, cold forging with conventional stamping machine for sales.
  • Started Plastic Molding Parts manufacturing. Akiyama started to supply reels for electronic parts and carrier tape.
1995 An award presented for production upscale of MD Walkman by Sony.
1996 The second plant was constructed to produce parts for DDS by Sony, Toshiba's CD-ROM, Sotech PC, other PC, and peripherals.
1997 Akiyama Engineering established Akiyama S.A. DE C.V. in Toluca, Mexico and started production of Car Audio cassette mechanism parts to Clarion for Delphi, Visteon, Nissan, and Honda.
1998 The 2nd Phase construction of Mexico Plant completed. With assembly line added, Akiyama started sales of C.D. changer mechanism parts and colored exterior case to Clarion for Ford.
1999 The 3rd Phase construction completed in Mexico with additional stamping line for increased Delphi requirement (5Million a year) Tool sales started to Clarion.

2000's
   
2000
  • Mexico plan was awarded ISO9001.
  • 1 micron component sales started to Mitsutoyo for measuring equipment.
2001 Mexico plant installed Printing Line. Sales started to Panasonic for Home Audio System with Exterior Cosmetic Parts.
2002 The 2nd Plant was added in San Juan Del Rio, Mexico, supplying Antenna tubes to Harada.
2003 An award presented by Panasonic for contribution to Home Audio Business with QCDS.
2004 The 2nd Phase construction in San Juan Del Rio completed to bring Toluca plant Washinomiya's stamping factory in Mexico.Mass production started to supply Thermostat parts for refrigerators to Washinomiya.
2005 The 3rd Plant established to supply pipe handle for Vacuum Cleaners to Panasonic.
2006 Entire operations of Akiyama were integrated into Akiyama Engineering with Global Mass Production.
Sekai Technology was established, and started PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection ) for the mechanism of car stereo.
2007 AEG-A1 LLC was established in San Diego to do Tool Sales as Joint Venture between Akiyama Engineering and All 1 Source Engineering in Singapore.
2008 AEG-A1 S.A. DE C.V. was established in Toluca, Mexico, then all the operations were integrated in AEG-A1 (San Juan Del Rio and Reynosa, Mexico)
2009
  • The 2nd Phase construction was completed. Velvac(Mexico) stamping operation was integrated and started Mass Production of Deep draw side Mirror housing to VELVAC.
  • An award presented by Panasonic for contribution to Home Audio Business with QCDS.
2010
  • New Reynosa Plant was completed and started to produce Vacuum Cleaner parts for Panasonic.
  • Sekai Technology had a warehouse as a new construction in Reynosa, Mexico. The warehouse was approved by Panasonic as the VMI center.
  • An award presented by Panasonic for contribution to Home Audio Business with QCDS.
2011
  • On January, SEKAI TECHNOLOGY LLC Los Angeles office was established to have trading business in Asia.
  • On June, the VMI center in Reynosa, Mexico, of SEKAI TECHNOLOGY S.A. DE C.V. was awarded ISO 9001:2008.
2012 The factory of AEG-A1 S.A.DE C.V. in Reynosa, Mexico was awarded ISO 9001: 2008.
